Darius Watkins | Six Twelve Sports Executive Director | Founder
Background: As a Southaven, MS native and current Memphis resident, I’ve always had a heart for giving back to the Memphis metro area and beyond. My times as a camp counselor, missionary, and sports fanatic pushed me to have the desire to start my own sports camp in 2017. I wanted to combine my passion for youth and sports with principles that I learned on mission trips and as a camp counselor/coach. This is a dream come true. The award winner that you see in the picture with me is a kid that I coached as a 7th grader and he came to my camp as an 11th grader. Kids like him are why I continue to do camp today!
Experience: I’ve served as a manager, trainer, recruiter, and scout team member on the Men's Basketball Team at the University of Mississippi. I’ve also served as a Camp Counselor and Basketball Specialty Head at the biggest Inner City Christian Sports Camp in the country, Kids Across America (KAA/Kanakuk Kamps), for 4 summers. While interning at Oxford Middle School as a School Counselor intern, I served as an assistant coach in basketball, football, and track. I also served as School Counselor, Head Basketball Coach, and Athletic Director at KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle School for 2 years. I was the School Counselor & Head Basketball Coach at Hanley Middle School. I am currently the School Counselor and Girls Coach at Lester Prep Middle School.

Camp Staff

These members have been carefully screened a selected to ensure that camp is a blast for both them and the campers.
